Laughter Yoga is the latest way to become healthier and happier, while having lots of fun. Laughter is a great stress buster. With deep breathing and laughter exercises, laughter Yoga stimulates the respiration, circulation and strengthens immune system. It also brings physical, emotional and psychological benefits including improving efficiency and increasing mental caliber, happiness and peace of mind. You will feel relaxed, lighter, healthier and happier. Laughter is indeed a physical, mental and spiritual tonic, in addition to being the best medicine. Why the name Laughter Yoga? The meaning of Yoga, as many are aware, is to unite, join and or to develop relationship with the Higher Power and the Divine Force, in other words the Almighty. The practices and methods that lead us to unite or develop relationship with the Higher Power are called by our Masters as Yogic practices. Thus the Laughter practices if done systematically and heartily shall definitely assure us and lead us to improved health, happiness, peace of mind and devotion to the Divine Power, the Pranic Shakti (power). As such this can be rightly called the Laughter Yoga.
Sri G. Venkat received training under the Laughter Yoga International and is a qualified Leader conducting these workshops and training successfully in London and in India at various places. In this workshop, apart from the importance of laughter and its benefits, the participants will learn various exercises, which will help you to practice at your place and convenience on your own, with family members or groups of friends. One will experience how laughter can help you to improve health and energy and at the same time have lots of fun making your life a festival of joy.
It is well known that a good laugh does you good, because every time you laugh you exercise seventeen muscles in your face, it increases oxygen levels in the body and releases endorphins (feel good hormones) around your body. It brings a sense of freshness into your home and workplace, costs nothing and is one of the best stress relievers known.
