Get up in the morning with a smile on your face. Say ‘good morning’ to the Lord and thank him for giving you another good day. Take a determination that you will be happy and cheerful today under any circumstance, always with a smile on the face, and endeavour to make people around happy.
See that your face always wears a smile. Great Master, Dada Vaswani says “Wear a smile and win friends or wear a scowl and get wrinkles. Which one would you prefer! “.
Laugh at least three times in a day. Once before breakfast, another before lunch and the third before dinner.Laughter is contagious, it makes others also laugh. If you want to get a laugh, keep a funny face before the mirror and you can instantly laugh.
Fix ‘Keep Smiling’ stickers or small boards in home and work place, which will keep reminding you to smile.Try to keep smiling always by being cheerful all the day.
Learn to laugh at yourself, your weaknesses and oddities.Do not pin point or mind the weaknesses of others. Pity and forgive them.
Develop a healthy sense of healthy humour. Develop the art of telling healthy jokes, which makes your face blossom with happiness, at the same time make the people listening more happy. Read joke books, see humorous movies, pick up a good joke from wherever possible. Recollect, make a note and try to tell the jokes to family members, friends and in get-togethers.
When you are depressed, stressed, not happy for any reason,go to the bath room, stand before the mirror and laugh heartily, or go to a secluded place and laugh. Instantly the mood changes to be a pleasantful one, light hearted enjoying the rest of the day. You may also remind yourself of the determination you made in the morning to be happy and keep smiling, and lift your spirits to cheerfulness.
Make yourself, your family members and others around happy and cheerful every day and all the days, with which the life becomes a festival of joy. Great Masters say, the day in which we have not laughed, loved and made others cheerful is a day lost indeed.
End the day with a smile on your face (before going to sleep), thanking the Lord again for the wonderful day He had so kindly given to you, which you enjoyed thoroughly and made others around more happy.
Thus make the lives of yourself, your family members and people around festivals of joy.
